TAFE Outreach programs are closely aligned to the Federal Social Inclusion Agenda ensuring NSW education is accessible to people who face barriers to learning including geographical and social isolation, language and cultural factors, financial hardship, lack of educational confidence, being unaware of opportunities to learn, a disability or family commitments.

What are the outcomes?

Since this project has begun a number of social enterprises have been established:
  • Miimi Creations: a Miimi production space that offers qualifications in textile technology and production and applied fashion design and technology.
  • Digi Hub: a Beyond Empathy (Better Factory production space) that offers qualifications in media and screen.
  • Gilinggal Junaaygam: a Beyond Empathy (Better Factory production space) a multi purpose gallery displaying and selling creative outputs of Better factory art workshops
  • Frrresh Mobile Cafe: a Nambucca Valley Youth Service enterprise that participates in festivals and events throughout the Valley. This space offers qualifications in events and hospitality.
  • Community Garden: a Bowraville Local Aboriginal Land Council enterprise that offers qualifications in horticulture.
